My best vacation ever was when me and my family went to New York City during Christmas Time in 2013. I think this is my favorite vacation because we had so much fun but also because it was the last trip we took with my brother (now he’s too old to travel with us haha).
It was our first time traveling to New York so of course we visited all the main tourist attractions like The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square and the Fifth Avenue. And because my mom wanted so much, we went to the Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree, but that was really boring for my dad, my brother and I.
One of the nicest days was the 24th when we walked around the city, but it was so cold that we returned to the hotel and during the entire evening we drank hot chocolate and talked about everything. Then, in the night, we went to a restaurant and exchanged our presents. I think that was one of my favorite days ever.
We spend like two weeks in New York, and I remember that we walked a lot, we ate a lot of fast food and sometimes we were really cold. An interesting fact is that when we left a snowstorm hit the city and a lot of flights were cancelled and people couldn’t go out into the streets. So we were really lucky!
